Tokyo: Tokyo Half Day Tour + Optional Japanese Kaiseki Dinner
You are meeting the tour guide in the hotel lobby at 8:45 am after breakfast. Our day begins with a visit to the Imperial Palace Plaza - the current residence of Japan’s Imperial Family. The tour will proceed to Asakusa district where the most famous Buddhist temple Senso-ji is located. Walk along the famous 820-ft long Nakamise shopping street that is the front entrance to the Senso-ji Temple where you can explore the lines of stalls selling different Japanese-styled goods and souvenirs. Nothing else can capture the epitome of an upscale area in Tokyo better than the next locale – the Ginza district – where numerous department stores, boutiques, restaurants and coffeehouses are located. Reputed to be the most luxurious shopping district in the world, it is here that you can be awed by the flagship stores of leading fashion houses and brands before the bus transport returns to take us back to the hotel. You may also stay and wander in the Ginza district and return to the hotel on your own accord. In the evening, experience Japanese tradition & cuisine by enjoying the optional Japanese Kaiseki Dinner. Kaiseki is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner which balances the taste, texture, appearance, and colors of food. Only fresh seasonal ingredients are used and are prepared in ways that aim to enhance their flavor. Dishes are also beautifully arranged and garnished.

After pickup from your Tokyo hotel, travel southwest by coach to Kamakura, a picturesque seaside city nestled in forested hills on Sagami Bay renowned for its Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines and rich history. Next, continue to Yokohama, Japan's second largest city. See the Red Brick Warehouse, where early-20th century custom buildings now house stylish shops, and stroll in waterside Yamashita Park.

I was introduced to AW by a friend who had recently traveled to Japan for the first time and had an outstanding experience. Based on their recommendation, I decided to book our trip through AW for what would be my nephew's and my first visit to Japan.
Even before our journey began, I was impressed by their customer service. I contacted the team several times with different questions while planning our trip, and they were always responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They provided clear information and made me feel confident that we had chosen the right agency.
From the moment we arrived in Japan, everything was flawlessly organized. Ann, who greeted us at the airport, was waiting with a sign displaying our names, making us feel immediately welcomed. She then escorted us to our driver, who accompanied us throughout our itinerary. Every transfer was punctual, smooth, and stress-free.
The itinerary was well planned, easy to follow, and perfectly paced. Every hotel exceeded our expectations—from the seamless check-in process, which our tour guide Lee assisted us with, to the beautiful rooms, outstanding breakfast buffets, and excellent amenities. Several hotels even offered gyms, spas, swimming pools, and traditional hot springs, which made our stay even more memorable.
A special thank you goes to our tour guide, Lee. He was exceptional—attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator. His passion for Japan, its history, and its culture truly enhanced our experience. Every city and attraction we visited was thoughtfully organized, allowing us to enjoy each destination without worrying about logistics.
The included dinners were delicious, and we also chose to participate in several optional excursions that were not part of the original itinerary. Those experiences were absolutely worth it and be
The experience was amazing; Japan was everything and more. The guide was very nice and the transportation was good. I only wish the guide would have been more informative on all the sights we went too. All shrines and temples were stunning. I would recommend this agency and will definitely do another tour with them.
