Visas & entry requirements
Egypt
- Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the return date of your trip and have at least a blank page. You will be denied entry into Egypt if there is not enough space for entry and exit stamps in your passport.
- U.S Passport Holders - Visa on Arrival (VOA): Visas are required for all U.S citizens to enter Egypt. U.S citizens may obtain a 30-day tourist visa on arrival. A representative will be arranged to assist Affordable World guests with the VOA application process upon arrival at CAI airport (Cairo International Airport). This service is only offered for U.S. passport holders who have purchased the Land + Air package and/or airport transfer service with us. The VOA fee for U.S. passport holders (Land + Air package and/or airport transfer service purchased) is included in your fare and is non-refundable if entry into Egypt is denied. Non-U.S. passport holders are responsible for obtaining their entry visas. Travelers must present the following requirements for a VOA: (1) Passport valid for at least 6 months from the return date of your trip, (2) a return ticket from Egypt or a connecting ticket to continue onward to another country, and (3) proof of accommodation during your stay in Egypt. Affordable World will not be held responsible if the Egyptian Immigration Authorities decline your VOA application.
- Electronic Visa On Arrival (E-VOA): We recommend all travelers apply for E-VOA to avoid the long line at the airport. You may apply for an electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) in advance if you are entering Egypt at Cairo International Airport in Cairo. Visa fee is not covered by Affordable World when applying for an E-VOA. An account is required to complete the application. Please click here to learn more about the E-VOA and to apply online.
