This was my second trip with Affordable World, and they continue to impress. We booked the Bali package with hotels in Ubud and at the beach, and upgraded both from 4 to 5 stars. The results were very different. In Ubud we stayed at the Nandini hotel and it was spectacular: a beautiful hotel surrounded by nature, a true 5-star experience, and close to everything that truly IS Bali. The upgrade wasn't too expensive and was completely worth it. It was the highlight of the trip. At the beach we stayed at the Sofitel in Nusa Dua, and that was a different story. The upgrade was much more expensive than Ubud's and, honestly, not worth it. The hotel is not at a 5-star level: very crowded, with a "wannabe Cancún" vibe and none of the essence of Bali. After Nandini, my expectations were high and the Sofitel fell short. The only things I'd rescue are the spa and the dinner on the sand (because there's no nice beach at the hotel). Special mention for our guide in Bali, Suardhana: one of the best parts of the trip, super attentive, and he helped us resolve everything. I also want to highlight Affordable World's customer service: we had an issue with an extra bed for my son and they responded incredibly fast to solve it. That kind of support makes a real difference. Would I recommend this trip to my family? Yes, definitely, but with the warning to choose a different beach hotel instead of the Sofitel. Ubud with Nandini, our guide Suardhana, and Affordable World's great service mean this agency is definitely on my list for future trips.
