Enjoy today free at leisure or perhaps visit the Demilitarized Zone on your own. Roughly 20 years later, North and South Korea met again and agreed on utilizing the DMz as a symbol of peace, allowing human contact while protecting its pristine nature. DMZ remained restricted from the public for 40 years, which only made people more curious about visiting. While travel within the region still remains extremely limited, with some sports only open to special tours, there are many areas which are open to the general public. Guests will depart from Imjingak and visit the Dora Observatory, Dorasan Station, Tongilchon Jikpanjang and Tonglichon Village Museum.
