DAY 1-2 USA - Bangkok: Travel Day; Arrive Bangkok Day 2 + Optional Room Upgrade

Our Thailand vacation begins as we board an international flight bound for Bangkok. Enjoy inflight meals, beverages, and entertainment.
 

Touch down in Bangkok, Thailand's vibrant capital city. Meet your guide at the Bangkok airport and enjoy a convenient transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the evening free at leisure, perhaps relaxing at the hotel or exploring this exhilirating city's mix of East and West.  

 *Airport transfers are not included for land only travelers*

DAY 3 Bangkok: Wat Trimitr, Wat Pho, Flower Market + Optional Landmarks of Bangkok

A fusion of über-modern skyscrapers, buzzing markets and golden temples that express the Thai people’s Buddhist beliefs, Bangkok always delights visitors. After breakfast, depart on a half-day city tour of the main sights, starting at the stunning Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Trimitr), home to the world’s biggest solid-gold statue of Buddha. Pass by the Paklong Talat Flower Market, a whirlwind of stalls selling masses of perfumed orchids, marigolds and roses. End with a visit to one of the oldest temples. The Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho), known for its monumental horizontal Buddha.

After a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy the afternoon independently, or perhaps explore Bangkok’s must-sees on our optional Landmark of Bangkok tour. Enjoy a guided tour of Bangkok’s famous landmarks beginning with the Grand Palace, a sprawling 18th-century complex of residences and temples that were home to the Kings of Siam and Thailand for 150 years. Stroll around the courtyards to view the gilded buildings, including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, regarded as Thailand’s most sacred Buddhist shrine. Meander through the winding Chao Phraya River on a motor boat, with views of the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun).

DAY 4 Bangkok: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market + Optional Evening Dinner Cruise

Following breakfast, depart Bangkok for Damnoen Saduak, one of Thailand’s most famous floating markets. Ride a long-tail speedboat around the lively canals, passing boats and stalls laden with fresh produce, spices, and handicrafts. Continue to a local gem workshop and silk factory to see how these precious items are produced for sale, and perhaps purchase some as souvenirs. After returning to Bangkok, spend the evening as you wish or enjoy our optional dinner cruise on the Grand Pearl ship along the Chao Phraya River.

DAY 5 Bangkok: Full Day Optional Elephant Sanctuary & Bridge Over River Kwai

A free day beckons, giving you the opportunity to explore and enjoy Bangkok on your own. Alternatively, make the most of your time with our optional full-day Elephant World Sanctuary and River Kwai excursion. After an early start, travel into scenic Kanchanaburi province and visit the Elephant World Sanctuary for rescued elephants. Admire, feed and help bathe these incredible animals in the river before enjoying lunch at the camp. Later, visit the Bridge over the River Kwai, famously connected to the ‘Death Railway’ of World War II, and the poignant Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, home to 9,000 Allied war graves.

DAY 6 Bangkok - Phuket - Khao Lak: Fly to Phuket & Drive to Khao Lak + Optional Khao Lak by Night w/ Dinner

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Bangkok domestic airport for a quick flight to Phuket. Upon arrival, board our coach bus for a scenic journey as we make our way to the enchanting coastal destination of Khao Lak. Check in to your hotel for the next 2 nights and enjoy the evening free at leisure or explore the local nightlife with our optional evening expereince - Khao Lak by Night with Thai Southern Food. Transfer from the hotel to Nai Muang Restaurant where you’ll have the chance to enjoy some of the restaurant’s signature dishes, including those featured in the Michelin Guide. Afterwards, enjoy some free time at a local night market before returning back to the hotel for the evening.

DAY 7 Khao Lak: Optional Khao Sok Lake Safari Full Day Excursion w/ Lunch

A free day in Khao Lak to unwind and enjoy the facilities at your hotel. Alternatively, take our optional full day trip to Khao Sok Lake with lunch. Embark on an unforgettable excursion to explore Cheow Lan Lake, a natural wonderland nestled in Khao Sok National Park. Enjoy the stunning scenery of Ratchaprapha Dam, surrounded by towering limestone mountains. Visit key landmarks including the “Guilin of Thailand” and Pra Kay Petch cave. Enjoy a delicious southern Thai lunch before free time to relax in the serene surroundings.

DAY 8 Khao Lak - Phuket: Drive to Phuket + Phuket City Tour + Optional Patong Night Market Tour & Hotel Upgrade

After breakfast, check-out and board our coach bus as we make our way to Phuket. Upon arrival, enjoy an orientation tour, admiring the old Sino-Portuguese buildings on the Thalang Road, taking in the Andaman Sea and island views from Phrom Thep Cape. This evening, relax and settle into your tropical surroundings or make the most of your time in Phuket with our optional Patong Night Market tour with dinner.

DAY 9 Phuket: Optional Phi Phi Island w/ Lunch

Spend today as you wish or delight in the stunning scenery of the Andaman Sea by taking our optional tour to Phi Phi Island. Catch a speedboat to this exquisite island and enjoy its sandy white beaches, turquoise seas and endless scenic gems. Sightseeing includes stops at Pileh Lagoon or Rantee Bay*, Loh Samah Bay, Pi Leh Cave, Viking Cave, Camel Rock, Monkey Beach and Khai Island.

DAY 10 Phuket - USA: Depart From Phuket

After breakfast, bid farewell to Thailand as you board your return flight back home.

For those with evening departure flights - Late check-outs are available for purchase if you wish to enjoy your hotel room until your evening departure.  Otherwise, the hotel standard check-out time will be at 12 noon today.
